Tailor-made

I don't know about you, but one of my greatest fears is showing up somewhere wearing the exact same outfit as someone else. When eShakti offered to send me a custom made piece, I was over the moon. How could you not love something that was made just for you?

eShakti is your go-to place to get exactly what you want for your next event. For skirts, you have all sorts of options: mini, above knee, knee length, mid calf length [you can also choose pockets or no pockets!]. Depending on what top you choose, you also have many options here: cap sleeve, elbow length, inset cap, short length, three quarter length, tie-ups at shoulders, halter, wide straps, etc. Endless options! I'm into it.

As for my outfit? I chose the halter bralette and skirt combo. I chose "wide straps" for the top and ordered the skirt in knee length with pockets. I don't know what it is, but it makes me so happy when a skirt or dress has pockets. I don't think I ever actually use them, but knowing that I have the option really tickles my fancy!

If you're not sure what your exact measurements are, or how to go about figuring that out [because I had no idea], no worries, eShakti provides step by step instructions. I suggest having a friend measure you in order to get your correct measurements! Big thanks to my man friend for measuring me :D

Top: c/o eShakti | Skirt: c/o eShakti | Earrings: LC Lauren Conrad | Necklace: Windsor [similar here & here --only $6!] | Bracelet: Capwell + Co. | Ring: Forever 21 | Bag: Victoria's Secret | Heels: ShoeMint [similar here, in black here]

I cannot speak highly enough of eShakti as this outfit showed up in less than a week, fits perfectly, and the quality is great.

eShakti is so very generously offering my readers 10% off their entire purchase now through August 2nd with code: Destyles. This code is not applicable with sale items.

Happy shopping!

Polka Dots + Floral

Over the weekend I was rocking a tomboyish style so naturally I felt the need to dress ultra feminine this week. My first instinct was to pair this skirt with a chambray top but I thought that was a little too expected. SO, sticking with the same style, I went with a print on print combo and chose this polka dot top [which I thought made it a little more spring-like since the skirt is so dark]. I'm totally loving it.

Top: LC Lauren Conrad | Skirt: Target | Earrings: LC Lauren Conrad | Bracelets: Capwell, J.Crew Factory, Luxe Craving | Rings: LC Lauren Conrad | Clutch: GiGi New York | Heels: Windsor

I've added a new widget below that makes it even easier to shop my post! I've included actual items as well as similar items. Just hover over the images to see prices and click to shop!

Living in Illinois, the weather is anything but predictable, so planning outfits a week in advance just isn't realistic... which constantly results in me throwing an outfit together last minute.
I don't know about you, but the last thing I need when I'm in a hurry, better let me rephrase: already running behind schedule, is falling in a style rut and not being able to find anything to wear. Let's face it, I have plenty of clothes, but there are days when I absolutely cannot think of anything to put together! That's where StyleUp comes in. If you haven't heard of it yet, you need to check it out!

StyleUp is a completely free service that emails you daily outfit inspiration photos [Monday through Friday] that match your location's weather.

Upon signing up, you will complete a brief Style Survey so StyleUp can send you looks that match your taste. You can sign up to receive one email a day, or none, but where's the fun in that? I choose to receive mine the night before at 9PM so I can get a head start on planning [in my head, of course], but the other options are midnight, 3AM, or 6AM on the morning of.
Along with the photo, StyleUp includes your local weather and suggests ways to recreate the look. You can then rate the photo which helps StyleUp to match you with looks that suit your style!
Save time on getting dressed and informs you of the forecast? It's a win win.
