July 4th Must-Haves

*Hover over the black boxes to see brands and pricing, click to shop!
[btw, here's the link for the fab sunglasses & the flag headwrap]
When it comes to holidays, I'm all about being festive and dressing the part. Depending on what your plans are, I think the tackier the ensemble, the better! However, for those of you who like to participate in the festivities but not look like a walking flag or go all out, there are still lots of options --no matter what your plans are!
Red, whites, and blues are obviously a great option, as well as stripes or stars, or metallics... and of course, I'd never discourage you from wearing sequins.
If the above isn't your thing and you're just down to celebrate our independence, rock this tee here, stay cool with a chambray tank, or add some bling to your nails!

Get to shopping, ladies --and expedite this sh!t.

Totally Necessary

As you're reading this, I am on my way up to Chicago with a bunch of girlfriends for a [two day] bachelorette party for our friend Laura. Plans consist of: a Cubs game, brunch, beach, drinks, food, laughs, more drinks, strippers [just kidding... maybe], craziness, etc! After the girls head home Sunday, I'm going to stay behind to help my sister move into a new apartment and celebrate her birthday a week early. This has been such a busy week so I'm ready to have fun with some of my favorite girls :D
I'm playing this fun game in these pictures called: pretend like you're not melting while having your picture taken. These 100 degree temps can go away any time now...

I love this dress because it can easily be dressed up or down. I've worn it once before with a chunky beaded turquoise necklace and a brown braided belt with matching sandals. It can also be worn with a shirt over it to make it appear like a skirt; kind of a two in one deal, which I'm always a fan of.

Because I won't be returning to Springfield until Monday afternoon, there will be no blog post until next Wednesday. In the mean time, follow my weekend adventures on Instagram!

Have a safe and fun holiday weekend, everyone!
