For those days when the snooze button is hit far too many times, I opt for "simple solutions": a leather hat to cover my hair [ain't nobody got time for that after the snooze button], sparkly statement earrings to distract away from the bags under my eyes, and a pair of bold ankle strap heels to make a top [that resembles a sweatshirt] look dressed up.
I spotted this top a few months ago at Target and was drawn to it in a weird way. I loved the quilted shoulders, the sheerness, and the color...but there was something about it that kept me unsure so I kept walking, doing the sideways stare.
I stopped back in to Target a few weeks later and saw the top on sale for $12. Naturally, I went for it. I see it hanging in my closet and I still question it. I can't pin point what it is exactly but for whatever reason, it makes me think of the 90's... specifically, the movie, White Men Can't Jump [great movie, btw] and I envision them wearing harem pants with this print on them. But I love it. Is that weird?
By the way, we owe a lot of thanks to whomever came up with the idea of a leather cap. It ads an effortlessly cool vibe to any outfit --and let's face it, we all want to be cool.Top: Target | Bustier: F21 | Denim: JCPenney [similar here, here, here, here] | Earrings: H&M [similar here] | Bracelet: Kohl's | Hat: Wilson's Leather [faux leather option here]| Bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target [similar here]| Heels: Zara
Do you guys own any clothing that you don't like but can't seem to part with? Or that you hate to love?
Beautiful outfit! I love that sweater and those heels.
