As soon as I put this outfit on yesterday, I immediately thought of the iconic, Audrey Hepburn. The pearl collar, black lace, bows, black pumps, and the cat eye sunglasses are all things that I imagine I would've probably found in her [unbelievably fabulous, I'm sure] closet. Every piece in the closet being classy and timeless. Having her reflection in my bathroom mirror while getting ready probably added to this thought as well.
I wore this to a bridal shower yesterday and never will I ever, wear this top in extreme weather conditions again>> aka smoldering heat. Let's just say it was a mistake and I looked like I participated in a water balloon fight [thanks for the cami, Laura]. Luckily, it cooled down later in the day and I was able to take some pictures ;)
If you're short, high waisted anything is a great option for you as it will create the illusion that the lower body and legs start in a higher place, thus making your legs look amazing!
Tank: Dizzy Lizzy via TJMaxx [necklace option here] | Shorts: Sans Souci via TJMaxx [last seen here, similar here] | Earrings: F21 [similar here & here] | Rings: American Eagle [similar here & here], Charlotte Russe | Bracelets: Sira & Mara, F21 [similar here], Vintage [fun set here] | Bag: Nila Anthony via TJMaxx [similar here, dying over this one] | Heels: Charlotte Russe
Fun fact: I dressed up as Audrey Hepburn last year for Halloween. It was very last minute but still turned out pretty great and was a nice change from trying to dress a little... er, slutty? Take a looksy>>
I was also an owl one night last year, too. The old age is starting to set in...I'll leave you all with a little Monday motiviation from Audrey herself: "Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!"
wow honey you look absolutely amazing! and we can definitely your inspiration - you look as pretty as here, seriously:) totally in love with that shirt with that collar detailing:)
